An international sourcing and distribution group specializing in specialty ingredients for the food, pharmaceutical and agricultural industries, with operations across Europe and North America, is expanding its local office in Iran. We are seeking experienced, ambitious and internationally minded professionals who can contribute to the growth of a dynamic and quality-driven organization.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a senior, hands-on professional who can independently manage complex import files and remain fully up to date with Iranian trade, foreign-exchange, banking and customs requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the full foreign procurement and import cycle, from inquiry and purchase order to final delivery.
• Negotiate and communicate professionally with international suppliers, freight forwarders, banks, exchange offices and service providers.
• Independently manage order registration and amendments through the NTSW and related systems.
• Coordinate import permits with technical and regulatory colleagues and relevant authorities.
• Manage foreign-exchange allocation, funding, payments and related regulatory obligations.
• Coordinate international transport, insurance, customs clearance and final delivery.
• Review and control commercial, shipping, banking and customs documentation.
• Monitor current trade, currency and customs regulations and communicate operational implications.
• Calculate and update landed costs and prepare management reports on orders, shipments and supplier performance.
• Coordinate closely with sales, finance, regulatory, warehouse and management teams.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5–10 years of hands-on experience in foreign trade, procurement and imports.
• Advanced practical knowledge of NTSW order registration and import procedures.
• Demonstrated experience with import permits, foreign-exchange allocation and payment processes.
• Strong knowledge of customs procedures, international logistics, Incoterms and trade documents.
• Experience in food, pharmaceutical, agricultural, chemical or specialty raw materials is preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken English for independent commercial correspondence and negotiation.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP or structured operational systems.
• Highly organized, accountable and able to manage multiple files under pressure.
