Job Description

As a senior sales engineer, you will play a key role in driving technical sales, managing client relationships, and expanding our market presence. You will be responsible for understanding customer needs, proposing tailored solutions, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver high-quality automation and process control projects. This role requires a balance of technical expertise and sales acumen to ensure customer satisfaction and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the oil & gas, industrial automation, and process control sectors.
  • Provide technical consultation and sales support for our product portfolio, including PLCs, DCS, SCADA systems, field instruments, Electrical LV/MV switchgear, and drives.
  • Work closely with system integrators, Distributors, engineering firms, and end-users to specify and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical training sessions for clients.
  • Collaborate with the sales and technical teams to develop proposals, quotations, and tenders.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements to align sales strategies accordingly.
  • Support post-sales activities, including troubleshooting and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain CRM records to track sales activities, opportunities, and client interactions.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering fields (Electrical is a plus).
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in technical sales, business development, or a similar role within the industrial automation, energy, or oil and gas sector.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Honeywell and Siemens products and expertise in PLCs, DCS, SCADA, LV switchgear, and drives.
  • Languages: Proficient in English (written and spoken); additional languages are an asset.
  • CRM Expertise: Experience with Customer Relationship Management tools to track client engagements.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel across the GCC region as required.
