Job Description

  • Planning and executing the technical trials to provide data for portfolio decisions.
  • Based on the country mapping document - define the overall strategy per each province.
  • Key points to define:
  1. What to test - selection of portfolio varieties based on the soil environment and farmer practices.
  2. Where to test - selection of different areas to gather the best result based on the different climate conditions and farmer practices.
  • Select the best competition for the trial.
  • Collect all the above points into an executive summary plan of activities for field crop business in Iran.
  • Create the overall strategy for field crops based on the variety of ages, availability, and performance Lead and introduce the plan to management.
  • Detail the necessary support requested from different stakeholders.
  • Follow the execution of all the trials from the first step till the last in all the different locations (Presence in all stages of the trial conduction and evaluation).

Regulatory:

  • Plan and follow up the registration process for the ongoing variety with the authorities.
  • Plan the strategy for registration of new varieties based on the specifications and the different needs of the territory.
  • Communicate to the management team the key needs of the country in terms of commercial variety introduction supported by trial results.
  • Manage the importation of the samples promptly with the different parties.

Commercial:

  • Be responsible for the current customers and their operations and support.
  • Defining new customers and new strategies for developing the diverse field crop business.
  • Comply with all the internal and external regulations.
  • Handling customer complaints processes.

Organizational:

  • Submit the necessary document and request in the tool.
  • Coordinate with the authorities the necessary requirements.
  • Submit the periodic plan (weekly/ Monthly/ quarterly) in an executive abstract.
  • Clear messaging to be delivered to higher management.
  • Define needs and actions based on supporting documents.
  • Support any commercial requirement.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Behave as E2E accountable for the representative area.
  • Continuously improve the knowledge and understanding of agribusiness and the company's ways of working to link relevant teams to each other.
  • Be the ambassador of communication to make sure local businesses are represented healthily at the regional level.

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of products, diseases, pests, nematodes, weeds, and crops.
  • Good knowledge of agricultural practices on seeds and crop protection.
  • Good knowledge of seeds/field crop registration procedures.
  • Good knowledge of trialing.
  • Good understanding of the corn/field crop market (sunflower seed on top).
  • Basic understanding of import/export processes.
