Job Description

  • Manage existing assets, plan lifecycle, and prepare purchase requests for equipment and services.
  • Plan and draft technical documents, feasibility studies, proposals, Migration Plans, CR Plans, LOS, LOM, and RFPs.
  • Design and document Rack Layouts, Port Maps, and topologies.
  • Provide weekly, quarterly, and annual reports and root cause analysis (RCA) documents.
  • Schedule, present, and execute projects and assigned tasks while responding to tickets and email requests.
  • Develop and present appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to monitor and track the health status and error resolution.
  • Continuously evaluate updates, hotfixes, firmware, and patches, and execute hardening in accordance with requirements.
  • Design architecture based on standards and best practices in the enterprise space.
  • Adhere to disaster recovery methods and business continuity standards.
  • Study modern technologies and architectures for development and analysis in a lab environment.
  • Continuously analyze and assess to improve service delivery alongside redesigning and tuning.

Requirements

  • A university degree in IT, Computer, or other related fields.
  • Multiple years of experience working with storage in enterprise environments.
  • (working knowledge of the telecom industry is an advantage).
  • Knowledge of modern enterprise storage architecture.
  • Knowledge of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity best practices.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure services, VMware solutions, and Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
  • Familiar with backup solutions and strategies based on Veeam backup.
  • Familiar with EMC and HPE Storage, SAN switches, HP Servers, and Tape.
  • Familiar with Ethernet, FC, FCoE, SAN, NAS, iSCSI, vSAN, Object, CIFS, SMB, HA, FT, DRS, etc.).
  • Maintenance and support services outside of normal working hours in case of emergency issues.
  • Problem-solving skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong level of communication skills.
