Job Description

  • Arrange training sessions with all new hires and refresher workshops for existing employees.
  • Identify and address employee requirements regarding performance issues, training, and career growth.
  • Take part in interviews, assist with recruitment, recruit, and vet potential new employees.
  • Process various administrative tasks and accurately complete and process paperwork.
  • Collaborate with staff to make HR policies, practices, and procedures clear.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate human resources and labor relations strategies including policies, programs, and procedures to address an organization's human resource requirements
  • Advise employer on the interpretation of human resources policies, compensation and benefits programs, and collective agreements
  • Negotiate collective agreements on behalf of the employer, mediate labor disputes and grievances, and provide advice on employee and labor relations
  • Research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, salary scales, and competency appraisal measures and systems
  • Plan and administer staffing, total compensation, training, career development, employee assistance, employment equity, and affirmative action programs
  • Manage programs and maintain human resources information and related records systems
  • Hire and oversee the training of staff
  • Coordinate employee performance appraisal programs
  • Research employee benefits and health and safety practices and recommend changes or modifications to existing policies.

Requirements:

  • Familiar with labor law and social security insurance
  • Relevant experience in an HR role.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work unsupervised.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong moral and ethical code.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and business management
  • Excellent administrative skills.
