Job Description

Flightio is a dynamic and innovative Online Travel Agency (OTA) specializing in providing a wide range of tourism solutions to travelers worldwide. We are committed to offering the best hotel options to our customers, and we are seeking a talented and experienced Business Developer to join our team. As a Business Developer, you will play a crucial role in the growth and success of our international hotel product offerings.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to analyze the performance of hotel suppliers on the OTA platform. Identify trends, patterns, and issues related to sales improvements.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing hotel suppliers. Collaborate with them to resolve issues related to sales and work together to enhance sales performance.
  • Market Research: Continuously monitor the international hotel market to identify potential new hotel suppliers. Analyze customer needs and preferences to match them with suitable suppliers.
  • New Supplier Acquisition: Identify, approach, and onboard new hotel suppliers in line with the OTA's strategic goals. Negotiate agreements and terms to benefit both parties.
  • Product Improvement: Collaborate with the product development team to identify areas where the OTA's international hotel product can be improved. Provide insights and recommendations to enhance user experience and generate more sales.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Make data-driven recommendations and decisions to address problems and opportunities in the international hotel sector. Develop and maintain reports and dashboards for continuous monitoring.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of the OTA's long-term international hotel strategy. Identify market trends and adapt the business plan accordingly.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to convey findings, recommendations, and progress reports.
  • Market Expansion: Explore opportunities to expand the OTA's reach and supplier network to untapped international markets.

Requirements

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field is required; a Master's degree or relevant certifications can be advantageous.
  • Experience: Proven experience in business development, data analysis, and supplier management within the travel or hospitality industry, especially in the OTA sector. At least 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Data Analysis Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques. Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
  • Market Knowledge: A deep understanding of the international hotel market, industry trends, and the competitive landscape.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to build and maintain relationships with existing and potential hotel suppliers.
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to think strategically and align business development efforts with the long-term goals of the OTA.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Results-Oriented: A track record of achieving and exceeding sales and performance targets.
  • Adaptability: The ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced industry, staying current with new technologies and trends.
  • Languages: Proficiency in multiple languages can be an asset, considering the international nature of the role.
  • Mastery of English is a must.
