Job Description

Mission:

  • To support the development of a well-defined and clear corporate strategic plan with divisional initiatives fully aligned with the corporate strategy through effective communication with all departments.
  • To conduct the process of strategic planning in MTNIrancell through top-notch strategic planning tools in the telecom industry.
  • To update MTNIrancell strategy based on MTN Group requirements and other external and internal factors.

Responsibilities:

  • To collaborate cross-functionally with other MTNIrancell divisions and business units to ensure meaningful inputs for strategy planning fully aligned with MTN Group strategy.
  • To collaborate in defining long-term (3 to 5 years horizon) strategic objectives at the corporate level and well-defined vision, mission, and values by managing negotiations and taking inputs from all divisions and MTNIrancell leadership.
  • To negotiate with all divisions to identify existing operational and new business opportunities through external audit exercises.
  • To conduct external analysis including competitive analysis (Strategic product portfolio, corporate strategy, and operation, Competitive Profile Matrix analysis, etc.), the global benchmark, Porter’s five forces analysis, stakeholder analysis, national up-stream document, PESTEL analysis, and other helpful strategy formulation tools.
  • To collaborate negotiation with all divisions to identify existing internal operational bottlenecks and strengths through internal audit exercise.
  • To analyze business to diagnose the current state and model future outcomes for better business performance through several meetings with management.
  • To conduct the corporate SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) using the information analyzed in the input stage to formulate the corporate strategies and reach a consensus on corporate strategy.
  • To coordinate corporate strategy initiatives by holding several meetings for alignment and initiative business cases.
  • To participate in the revision initiative sessions (and KPI sessions) with the management to ensure that the corporate initiatives (and KPIs) are fully aligned with the corporate budget approved.
  • To participate in communicating the strategy to the employees, company board, and third parties (if needed).
  • To liaise with the strategy reporting and monitoring team in providing a yearly budget considering the updated corporate strategic plan.
  • To update and circulate S&T PPPs to be underway and ensure relevant PPPs are updated and aligned with the company’s PPPs and strategic goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Marketing/Communication/Industrial Engineering) or related fields.
  • Fluent in English.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the area of specialization; with experience in supervising others.
  • Experience in telecom and with IT technologies and trends is advantageous.
  • Experience working in a medium organization.
