Job Overview:


The commercial manager at Aftab Seeds will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the efforts of multiple departments, including sales, marketing, technical, and commerce. This role requires acting as a key liaison between internal teams and external suppliers to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic goals. The position demands strong leadership, negotiation skills, and the ability to develop and implement effective commercial strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and monitor the sales, marketing, technical, and commerce departments to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Act as a bridge between internal teams and external suppliers, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and execute commercial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Negotiate with Multinational Suppliers to secure favorable terms and establish long-term partnerships.
  • Analyze market trends, business performance, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
  • Support sales operations and optimize distribution channels in collaboration with the Sales Manager.
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to create marketing initiatives that support commercial objectives.
  • Oversee technical operations to ensure product quality and innovation.
  • Manage budgets and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the company’s market presence.
  • Report directly to the CEO.

Requirements:

  • Master’s in Business, Agricultural Science, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • At least 7 years of experience in a commercial management role, preferably in agriculture or the seed industry.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with experience overseeing multiple departments.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain long-term supplier relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience in market and business performance analysis.
  • Proven strategic thinking with the ability to develop and implement effective business strategies.
  • Proficiency in English and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with suppliers, clients, and other stakeholders.
