Job Description

POSITION: Factory Cost Analyst;
DIVISION: Finance and Control;
LOCATION: Qazvin, Iran;
REPORTS TO: Factory Controller;

Position Intro:

Provide support and expertise in the area of cost/costing analysis. Undertake complex and critical analysis, interpret the results of analysis, and provide alternatives/recommendations for further consideration.

Major Responsibilities:

Cost Savings Initiatives & Continuous Improvement:

  • Seek and support cost improvement opportunities, and be an active contributor to improvement projects and initiatives. Participate in project teams to ensure validation, review, and proposed savings are accurately tracked. Involved in daily activities associated with NCE in the factory environment and participation in NCE Pillar meetings.

Analysis:

  • Review daily, weekly, and monthly variances; analyze and investigate background. Ensure data accuracy with regular health checks; follow up with stakeholders to ensure correction of errors. Discuss issues with the operations department as necessary.

Reporting and Analytics:

  • Review and validate factory reporting of monthly actuals, including providing this data for factory NCE meetings to ensure transparency of information. Review and validate period-end and year-end close reports for the factory ensuring Nestlé financial policies, Accounting Standards, and Costing Standards are followed.

Strategic Evaluations:

  • Perform financial simulations, product costing & estimates, and CAPEX evaluations as required ensuring full transparency of costs.

Business Planning:

  • Coordinate and provide inputs for budgeting, planning, and the dynamic forecast. Active participation in Annual Cost Estimation, ATLAS, Revision, and Replacement Cost calculations. Ad hoc cost analysis for the needs of the business/factory/functional controllers.

Internal Controls/Compliance:

  • Follow costing guidelines and associated standard operating procedures when generating financial documents and performing daily activities. Perform routine audit activities within the factory, in line with best practices, to ensure compliance on critical areas e.g. stock taking. Appropriately escalate business risks.

Knowledge Transfer:

  • Prepare and publish financial KPI data on a regular basis; perform analysis of KPI data and transfer this knowledge of the key figures to the relevant stakeholders in order to promote understanding. Perform accounting and costing knowledge transfer to shop floor and production supervisors.

Business Process & Systems:

  • Ensuring all processes and analysis relating to costing master data, actual activities for Period End Close, and quarterly transfer price are completed accurately and on time, first time right.

Requirements:

  • A university degree in Business, or Finance.
  • Prior experience in accounting or costing, ideally within a factory or supply chain.
  • Proficiency in English.

Other Personal Qualities:

  • Good communicator, both orally and written.
  • Good interpersonal skills, both within the function and with other members of the factory.
  • Able to handle pressure under stressful situations, especially at PEC and ACE when the deadlines are tight.
  • Solid organizational, planning, and analysis skills.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to deal with people at all levels.
