Position Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and creative host marketing communications (MarCom) manager to lead the development and execution of marketing strategies aimed at our hosts. This role is pivotal in building, engaging, and maintaining strong relationships with hosts (property owners, managers, and entrepreneurs) on our platform. You will craft tailored communication plans that inspire hosts to maximize their earnings, improve their listings, and create the best possible guest experiences.

As a host MarCom manager, you will collaborate with multiple departments, including product, content, customer support, and performance marketing, to ensure our hosts are well-informed, motivated, and set up for success.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing communication strategy to engage and educate current and potential hosts.
  • Segment the host community by geographic, demographic, and behavioral factors to create targeted messaging.
  • Collaborate with the broader marketing team to align host communication strategies with overall business objectives.

Host Engagement Campaigns:

  • Design and execute integrated marketing campaigns aimed at engaging and retaining hosts.
  • Create value-driven content, including best practices, success stories, and tips on improving host experiences and revenue potential.
  • Lead initiatives to increase host satisfaction, loyalty, and advocacy through personalized communication and incentives.

Content & Messaging:

  • Oversee the creation of clear, compelling content for all host-facing channels
  • Ensure brand consistency across all host communications, maintaining a tone that resonates with our diverse community.
  • Collaborate with designers, content creators, and external partners to deliver high-quality marketing materials.

Data-Driven Marketing:

  • Use analytics and performance data to optimize communication efforts and improve the effectiveness of host outreach.
  • Track key metrics such as host acquisition, retention, engagement, and satisfaction, and adjust marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Test, analyze, and refine communication strategies to increase host participation and listing success rates.

Partnership & Collaboration:

  • Work closely with product teams to inform hosts of new features, product updates, and platform improvements.
  • Collaborate with customer support teams to ensure hosts receive timely, accurate information that addresses their needs.
  • Develop partnerships with external organizations and influencers that can help grow the host community.

Host Community Building:

  • Plan and manage events, webinars, or virtual meetups to strengthen host relationships and create a sense of community.
  • Encourage peer-to-peer learning by fostering connections between experienced and new hosts.
  • Act as a key point of contact for host feedback, ensuring their voices are heard in company decisions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in marketing communications, ideally in the hospitality, tech, or platform-based industries.
  • Proven experience managing integrated marketing campaigns
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels (email, social media, in-app messaging) and CRM tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a knack for crafting persuasive, engaging content.
  • Analytical mindset, with experience in using data to inform decisions and improve campaign performance.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams and manage stakeholders.
  • Passion for building relationships and improving customer (host) experiences.
