Job Description

  • Supervision of Subordinates: Organize and supervise the activities and work of a small team of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of IT Operations and Services activity is carried out in an efficient and procedurally compliant manner.
  • Budgets and Plans: Contribute to the preparation of the IT Operations and Services section budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues and areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified.
  • Policies, Systems, Processes, and Procedures: Implement approved departmental policies, processes, procedures, and instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.
  • Day-to-day Operations: Supervises the day-to-day operations of IT Operations and Services to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports timely and accurately to meet Savola and IT Operations and Services department requirements, policies, and standards.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment: Monitor the adherence to all relevant safety and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services, and a responsible environmental attitude.
  • Related Assignments: Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.
  • Food Safety Management System: Following up the FSMS tasks that are related to job scope including Policies, Objectives, procedures, work instructions, HACCP/OPRP/PRP plans, and organizational approvals

Job Specific Accountabilities:

  • Ensure continuous availability and optimal performance of IT services.
  • Implement and manage endpoint security solutions to protect against threats.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets and manage asset lifecycle.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of data center hardware including servers and storage systems.
  • Configure and manage systems to ensure they meet operational requirements.
  • Implement patch management processes to ensure all systems are up-to-date and secure.
  • Monitor IT operations to detect and resolve issues proactively.
  • Manage relationships with IT suppliers and vendors.
  • Regularly monitor system performance and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Monitor security systems to detect and respond to threats.
  • Manage and maintain Microsoft Exchange mail servers and messaging gateway.
  • Administer Active Directory to manage user access and security.
  • Oversee security measures for endpoint devices.
  • Manage Microsoft System Center suite for infrastructure management.
  • Maintain and optimize virtualization environments.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures in IT operations.
  • Develop and implement automation to streamline IT processes.
  • Drive initiatives for modernizing IT infrastructure.
  • Manage Microsoft M365 suite to ensure effective use and security.
  • Participate in and deliver annual projects as defined by the IT Infrastructure and services department.
  • Maintain and monitor service availability, endpoint security, and data center hardware. system configurations, patch levels, operational status, supplier services, systems, security, mail servers, active directory, endpoint security, system center suite, virtualization infrastructure, and Microsoft M365 Suite.
  • Accountable for managing IT Operations and Services team incidents, problems, and change management processes.
  • Responsible for ITIL documentation related to IT operations and services.
