To formulate and execute plans to enhance data center efficiency, automation, and operational resilience within the ITS infrastructure subdivision.
To oversee and optimize the use of DCIM tools to support data center operational excellence and ensure seamless integration with ITS systems.
To analyze power, cooling, space utilization, and related data center metrics to proactively optimize infrastructure performance and efficiency.
To maintain accurate records of all ITS equipment (including databases, virtual machines, middleware, etc.) within the data center and ensure effective tracking and configuration management.
To enforce adherence to industry standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements, safeguarding data center operations and sensitive information.
To work closely with ITS, facilities, operations, and other stakeholders to drive the adoption of DCIM best practices and ensure coordinated infrastructure management.
To spearhead vendor selection, negotiation, and management for DCIM-related hardware and software solutions to support strategic infrastructure goals.
To create and deploy automation processes that enhance data center monitoring, management, and operational response times.
To oversee data governance policies for DCIM data, ensuring secure data management and controlled distribution to third parties.
To guide and support the DCIM team with technical expertise, ongoing training, and best practices to foster a high-performing group.
To produce and update comprehensive documentation for data center infrastructure management policies, procedures, and system integrations.
To lead the seamless integration of DCIM tools with existing IT service management, configuration management database, and asset management systems.
To champion continuous improvement projects and infrastructure modernization initiatives that align with long-term business objectives within the ITS division.
To develop standardized reporting and benchmarking processes to measure the impact of DCIM initiatives on operational performance and capacity planning.
To manage the DC containerization efforts and ensure it is ready for IaaS, PAAS, and SaaS services.
To manage relationships and communication with third-party suppliers, collaborators, customers, partners, and team members to resolve and prevent complex problems.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent fields.
At least 5 years of experience in data center operations or data center engineering department.
Practical knowledge and experience in system administration including installation and configuration, diagnostics and troubleshooting, maintenance, and support.
Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and prioritize complex DCIM activities.
Proven expertise in working with IT Hardware (Server, Rack, PDU, etc.), Facility Systems, File Systems, Operating Systems, Databases, and TCP/IP Networking.
Strong understanding of data center activities from planning to operations.
Experience working with third-party vendors, contract negotiation, and project delivery.
Proven expertise in system middleware and API (Swagger or Postman).
Proven expertise working with open-source Performance Monitoring tools like Zabbix, Nagios, etc.
Familiar with IP address management (IP Setting, DNS, DHCP).
Familiar with data cleansing concepts.
Familiar with business process and workflow automation.
Basic programming knowledge is a plus. Ability to write scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
