To communicate and keep resolution track of technical details related to raised issues with the network maintenance team, technical support organizations, vendors, and management teams.
To provide proactive network monitoring, also follow established procedures when responding to network alarms and events.
To provide awareness of quality and safety within the region and ensure compliance based on international standards.
To ensure RAN, BSS and facilities equipment in remote BSCs/RNCs are operational, and support to escalate for troubleshooting and follow up with respective vendors or parties based on SLAs/OLAs, both internally and externally.
To ensure regional installations are within the company-agreed standards and the switching/radio environment is kept clean and tidy.
To meet the network objectives, monitor the GOS (Grade of Service) and QOS (Quality of Service).
To monitor the network performance against national and vendor KPIs/SLAs
To submit operational issues for the network maintenance team and ensure successful resolution.
To follow up on issues raised by vendors within related trouble ticketing systems and ensure a successful resolution.
To support the regional operations manager in coordinating the vendors and related project managers for the rollout.
To follow up with external vendors on any related outstanding issues and ensure successful resolution.
To maintain ongoing communication within the team (of regional engineers) and externally to keep all stakeholders, aware of relevant, known issues and steps being taken.
To assist the regional operations manager in meeting the objectives of the Region and to meet the national and vendor KPIs from a broader perspective.
To provide detailed reports of network status to the regional operations manager, lead manager, and senior management as per instructions.
To coordinate and troubleshoot network events pushing internal teams and external vendors to meet the challenges in providing a continuously superior quality network and satisfy the needs of customers.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Technology Systems (Telecommunication Management, Information Technology, or Electronics) or related disciplines.
At least 3 years of experience in an area of specialization; with experience in supervising others.
Experience working in a medium organization.
Experience in telecommunication, a technical organization that supports network operations, and operational experience (including the creation of processes and project management) is preferred.
