Job Description

Subsurface Quality Control Lead:
Oversee and coordinate all inspection, testing, auditing, and monitoring activities at the project site through the project team, third-party inspectors, suppliers, EPC contractors, service providers, and management service contractors to ensure achievement of project quality objectives and compliance with project quality policies and requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and oversee project drilling quality control and technical inspection activities throughout all phases of project execution.
• Manage the performance of quality control teams, technical inspectors, and third-party inspection personnel.
• Supervise the preparation, review, control, and maintenance of project quality documentation and records.
• Plan and manage inspection processes related to materials, equipment, services, and contractors.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality performance of contractors, suppliers, and service providers.
• Prepare and present quality management reports and recommend improvement actions.
• Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of project quality objectives, policies, and programs.
• Manage communications and address technical and quality-related matters with project stakeholders.
• Lead quality audits and ensure effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Oversee the staffing, development, and effectiveness of project drilling quality control resources and organization.
Qualifications:
Work Experience:
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in drilling, oil, gas, and petrochemical projects.
Education:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering , Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering ,Technical Inspection Engineering, Corrosion Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Language:
• Professional proficiency in English.
Technical Competencies:
• Comprehensive knowledge of Drilling engineering, procurement, construction, installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning processes in oil and gas projects.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems, technical inspection, and quality control practices in oil, gas, and petrochemical projects.
• Thorough knowledge of international standards, codes, and requirements related to inspection, testing, quality control, and equipment compliance.
• Proven ability to lead, review, and approve quality documentation, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), Quality Control Plans (QCP), Manufacturing Procedure Specifications (MPS), and other project quality documents.
• Strong knowledge of quality documentation management, record control, and traceability requirements.
• Familiarity with inspection, fabrication, installation, and operation of static equipment, rotating equipment, pipelines, and drilling equipment.
• Ability to plan, manage, and evaluate the performance of contractors, manufacturers, suppliers, and third-party inspectors.
• Experience in defining, monitoring, and analyzing Quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), managing non-conformities, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Familiarity with quality management system auditing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
