As a senior payroll specialist at Alibaba Travels Co., you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the payroll and administrative aspects of the human resources function.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and execute the end-to-end payroll process for all employees, including the calculation of wages, overtime, deductions, bonuses, and benefits.
Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, typically every month, and make payroll adjustments and corrections as needed.
Ensure compliance with organizational and labor laws and regulations.
Prepare and submit payroll-related reports, including forms and other necessary documentation.
Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation for audit purposes.
Manage and maintain payroll systems, including updates and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with IT and HRIS teams to implement and test system upgrades or changes.
Act as the point of contact for payroll-related questions from employees and management.
Resolve payroll disputes and respond to queries regarding payroll policies and procedures.
Identify opportunities to improve and streamline payroll processes.
Stay up-to-date with changes in employment laws and regulations and ensure team compliance.
Help in implementing HR administrative processes and procedures.
Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned by HR management.
Requirements
Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources Management, or related fields.
At least 3 years of experience in payroll, with at least 1 year in a senior or supervisory role.
Experience with payroll software and systems (e.g., Rahkaran).
Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
