Job Description

The trade marketing manager will collaborate closely with commercial and marketing teams to design and implement category visions, strategies, and trade roadmaps. This role requires a strong focus on developing and executing effective commercial drivers, considering customer and channel specificities.

Responsibilities:

Commercial Drivers for Channels and 4P’s:

  • Develop customer/category 4P strategy in line with respective heads of channels.
  • Define clear guidelines for commercial drivers for each category and brand, including assortment, shelving, and in-store activities.
  • Design and develop category activations in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Develop trade offers in collaboration with the sales team for each channel.

Sales Leader for Innovation and Renovation:

  • Propose relevant innovations and renovation plans to win with customers and shoppers.
  • Define must-win criteria for successful product launches in stores across targeted channels.
  • Lead the launch plan by channel and create engaging selling stories for retailers.

Productivity and Efficiency of the Campaign:

  • Review and align trade marketing projects and BTL plans with the defined budget.
  • Analyze the P&L of each channel and calculate the ROI of each activity.

Market Dynamics Knowledge/Shopper Understanding:

  • Develop knowledge and understanding of the trade through market visits.
  • Analyze categories and trade trends to anticipate shopper behavior and needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in trade marketing management.
  • Collaboration Skills: Proven ability to work closely with commercial and marketing teams to align on category objectives and strategies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in analyzing and evaluating category performance regarding value and volume. Ability to identify key performance indicators and develop strategies to enhance category performance.
  • Strong understanding of customer and channel specificities in the trade marketing context.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop long-term category visions and roadmaps.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in executing trade marketing plans.
