Accountable for managing the overall results of the factory from a manufacturing perspective, while strictly adhering to food safety and quality requirements and providing superior customer satisfaction as a lowest-cost producer.
Ensure the factory operates using good manufacturing practices, in an environment that complies with health and safety and human resources standards.
Accountable for production costs, labor utilization, yield, results of operations cost improvement initiative, and managing daily operations of the factory.
Ensure adherence to the company’s food safety requirements, quality assurance, customer specifications, food safety, and good manufacturing practices, including audit targets on a day-to-day basis.
Develop and implement policies, procedures, processes, and KPIs to improve production processes and reduce costs.
Set and monitor production metrics and make adjustments as needed to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Continuously improve the reduction of operating costs.
Maintain and build a productive and positive employee relations environment through effective implementation of positive employee relations initiatives.
Develop, recommend, and implement capital improvement for the factory, including the preparation and execution of a capital factory budget.
Responsible for preparing and executing the factory overhead budget, and direct product cost targets.
Meet or exceed customer service level targets through the synchronization of processes/activities with all functional area processes, from demand planning to delivery to the customer.
Manage the performance of the hourly and salaried team through effective implementation of HQ human resources processes and policies and all Leadership Edge initiatives.
Set and meet all Health and Safety targets.
Support Marketing and Product Development on new product initiatives.
Direct all duties in compliance with related legal/statutory regulations, professional duties, responsibilities, and obligations and insert as applicable e.g., Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Best Practice Guidelines, certification (FSSC, HACCP, 22000).
Utility and capacity management of all machinery and production lines.
Oversee all aspects of the manufacturing process, including production planning, scheduling, and quality control to ensure that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely.
Manage a team of workers, including hiring, training, and performance management in line with the company's HR policies.
Ensure that all safety protocols are followed and that the factory is in compliance with all relevant regulations
Work closely with other departments, such as engineering and logistics, to ensure that products are manufactured to the highest quality standards
Manage inventory levels and ensure that raw materials and finished products are stored and handled properly
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and R&D teams to ensure that production meets customer demand
