Job Description

  • Deliver sales and distribution targets in the sales area.
  • Visit the market to stay informed about potential opportunities. Ensuring efficient geographical coverage and cross-selling opportunities to achieve full business potential (sales and profit).
  • Manage and oversee all sales operations within the assigned geographical area, including setting sales targets, developing action plans, and monitoring performance against objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards to maintain consistency and quality in sales execution across the area.
  • Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of sales performance metrics, including revenue, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction, to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a team of Field Sales Supervisors and Sales Representatives to ensure a high-performing sales team capable of delivering on targets and objectives.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and support to sales team members to enhance their selling skills, product knowledge, and customer engagement capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the sales organization, encouraging collaboration, innovation, and initiative among team members.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with retail key partners and distributors within the area to drive product distribution, availability, and visibility.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts and strategic customers, addressing their needs, resolving issues, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Analyze market dynamics, competitive landscape, and customer insights to identify market opportunities, develop effective sales strategies, and optimize resource allocation.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, trade marketing, product development, and supply chain, to align sales strategies with overall business objectives and corporate priorities.
  • Lead and coordinate promotional activities, product launches, and sales campaigns within the area to drive brand awareness and purchase intent.
  • Allocate Sales Force Incentive (SFI) resources across your team to maximize sales performance. Support the sales team to achieve targets and maximize their income.
  • Develop and maintain contracts with key customers, negotiating terms and conditions that are mutually beneficial. Manage discounts and payment terms in line with sales targets and achievements, availability, and visibility.
  • Track orders and pending shipments to ensure adequate stock levels in warehouses. Implement safety measures to prevent stock shortages or overstock situations and optimize inventory management.
  • Provide regular reports, updates, and insights to the Regional Sales Manager on sales performance, market trends, competitive activities, sales forecasts, territory plans, business reviews, and key developments within the area.
