Job Description

The compensation and benefits specialist coordinates and executes the employee compensation and benefits programs.

Responsibilities

  • Time sheet and payroll calculations.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining personnel records.
  • Develop and administer compensation programs, such as merit or incentive pay.
  • Evaluate job positions, determining job classifications and grading.
  • Prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, and salary scales.
  • Develop, implement, administer, and evaluate personnel and labor relations programs, including performance appraisal, affirmative action, and employment equity programs.
  • Provide advice on the resolution of classification and salary complaints.
  • Negotiate collective agreements on behalf of employers or workers, and mediate labor disputes and grievances.
  • Research job and worker requirements, structural and functional relationships among jobs and occupations, and occupational trends.
  • Prepare reports, such as organization and flow charts and career path reports, to summarize job analysis and evaluation and compensation analysis information.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Management, Industrial Engineering, or other related fields.; having a Master's degree, or an MBA degree is a plus.
  • Upper intermediate knowledge of English.

Experience:

  • At least 4 years of experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and compensation.
  • Strong skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
