Job Description

  • Implement EHS management systems, programs, and procedures as per the company policy best practices and local legal requirements to achieve the EHS policy objectives and targets.
  • Provide monthly reports of EHS program implementation status to OLT and EHS committee members.
  • Assess and update factory EHS risk assessment.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of EHS competencies and culture for all staff.
  • Ensure EHS engagement in all new purchases of the company.
  • Make sure EHS is involved in any change in process and equipment.
  • Ensure full compliance with the company Policy and legislation to meet EHS objectives and targets.
  • Target and drive LTIR (Lost Time Incident Rate) and environmental incidents to zero.
  • Have sufficient information on EHS matters and risk assessment to manage EHS issues of self and team effectively.
  • Minimize the exposure of all people on factory premises to the risk of injury.
  • Provide positive contribution to the EHS by regular and timely reporting of EHS-related matters.
  • Encourage the involvement of the teams in continual improvement in all areas of EHS.
  • Facilitate implementation of EHS programs for EHS committees in the factory.
  • Ensure the development of the EHS team in both professional and personal aspects and reflect it in EHS annual plans.
  • Leverage EHS competencies through EHS champions in all functions.
  • Identify and evaluate all existing and potential threats to the operating company businesses arising from environmental impacts and health and safety risks, and develop and implement agreed internal control systems, procedures, and solutions.
  • Manage all EHS activities of the factory and review periodically for compliance and progress.
  • Lead the process of the factory's annual internal self-assessment of EHS progress and annual EHS report.
  • Lead Investigation of all accidents and environmental incidents and report formally to the head of the operation.

Requirements

  • Understanding risk management principles.
  • Good knowledge of local EHS law and legal processes.
  • Detailed knowledge of all functions of the company’s operations.
  • Ability to influence personnel at all levels in the company, through verbal and written communications, especially the board.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deal with external authorities and regulators.
  • Consideration of environmental aspects in business priorities.
  • Strategic vision: able to set long-term objectives, develop the EHS systems, initiate change and continuous benchmarking.
  • Fluent in English is a must.
  • Competent in computer skills and the use of the company's standard software packages.
