Perform high-level, day-to-day operational administration of enterprise network systems, including user management, authentication, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Extensive technical knowledge of network infrastructure and administration.
Configure, maintain, and optimize network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Perform software and firmware upgrades, patches, and security updates on networking devices.
Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively resolve connectivity issues.
Implement security policies, manage VPNs, and ensure network compliance with security standards.
Coordinate, schedule, and perform network-related installations and system migrations.
Evaluate and recommend next-generation networking solutions to enhance performance and security.
Develop and document standard operating procedures for network administration.
Train other IT team members on network troubleshooting and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
Hands-on experience with configuring and managing Cisco, HP, or Juniper networking equipment.
Experience with firewall administration (FortiGate, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, etc.).
Experience with VoIP systems (Asterisk, Isabel, etc.).
Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, etc.).
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for diagnosing network issues.
Ability to document technical processes and create detailed network diagrams.
Proficiency in Windows Server networking services (DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, NPS).
Knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi and Hyper-V.
Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
