Position Summary:
The compensation and benefits manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization's compensation and benefits programs. This role ensures that employee compensation, rewards, and benefits are competitive, equitable, and aligned with company goals, contributing to a positive workplace culture and employee satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Compensation Strategy Development:
- Participating in designing, evaluating, and modifying compensation policies to ensure alignment with company goals and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular market analyses to determine competitive salary ranges and pay structures.
- Participating in creating and managing salary scales, job grades, and pay structures to maintain internal equity and market competitiveness.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure that all compensation and benefits programs comply with local, state, and laws.
- Prepare and analyze compensation and benefits data for compliance audits and reporting purposes.
- Maintain accurate records and oversee the filing of necessary reports with governmental agencies.
Employee Communication and Support:
- Serve as a resource to employees and managers regarding compensation and benefits policies.
- Conduct employee education sessions to explain benefits options, compensation policies, and wellness resources.
- Handle employee inquiries and resolve issues related to pay, benefits, and rewards.
HR Analytics and Reporting:
- Analyze trends in compensation and benefits to ensure competitive positioning in the market.
- Prepare regular reports for senior leadership on compensation and benefits costs, trends, and recommendations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's or certification in HR or compensation/benefits is a plus).
- Proven experience in compensation and benefits management or a related HR role.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations related to compensation and benefits.
- Proficiency in HRIS and compensation analysis tools specifically Excel.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
