Job Description

Purpose:

To optimize product availability across the Business units, align capacities with growth projections, and ensure adequate and optimal levels of inventory and material availability when and where needed by using material management methods guaranteeing TSIC has enough inventory to properly meet customer demand.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the annual production plan aligned with the customers’ agreement into monthly, weekly, and daily plans before initiating it.
  • Compare each line's capacity with the defined production plan to determine the production budget.
  • Make sure of the smooth operation of production.
  • Calculate the monthly production and the gap between planned and actual production, analyze the reasons, and report to management.
  • Plan outsourcing of some consumables’ production to resolve production bottleneck problems and increase the quantity of products.
  • Submit the weekly and daily work orders to the production department.
  • Receive, register, and organize the BOMs in a modular format and prepare BOMs for new products.
  • Receive the data related to Bills of Material and routing, and update the timing in the Bill of capacity format.
  • Receive and register the information related to the selling agreement and production plans for each product.
  • Advise new material or machinery in the planning process of production.
  • Optimize the capacity utilization to ensure demands are met without compromising on working capital.
  • Calculate the lead time in constant and variable format respecting lot Size.
  • Advise all strategic decisions about stock builds, and branch inventories with a long-term view of minimizing business risks.
  • Receive and register the information about machinery (type of task and human resources).
  • Determine the efficiency of machinery according to their standard capacity.
  • Compare the information about realization with the standard and budget.
  • Forecast the production compared with different years' results.
  • Identify the ideal quantity of material needed in order to plan short and medium-term horizons of supply and inform the procurement department.
  • Liaise with the procurement department to ensure materials availability on time while meeting inventory targets.
  • Undertake the required initiatives and action to implement strategies and plans in order to ensure adequate management as well as timely procurement and use of material.
  • Act on all matters pertaining to schedules, status, and inventory as well as prepare and assign meaningful and functional productivity plans in order to meet established master schedules.
  • Manage production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management in order to avoid potential downtimes.
  • Review long-term demand and recommendations for the management of inventory.
  • Ensure all relevant safety, quality, and environmental policies, procedures, and controls are adhered to so that employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services, and a responsible environmental attitude can be guaranteed.
  • Stimulate subordinates and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of the planning department systems, processes, and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.
