Job Description

  • Develop and execute strategies to maintain/ improve the legal and regulatory environment of the company to better achieve the business goals.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships and represent Danone company with key members of different Governmental and regulatory authorities/bodies.
  • Manage governmental complaints transferred directly or through other internal and external channels.
  • Develop internal initiatives to ensure and monitor the compliance of business practices with the WHO code of marketing of breast milk substitutes as well as the local code and regulations.
  • Handle the registration of all licenses local production or Imported Products’ licenses” (including artworks and labels).
  • Get the MOH approval/ permission for custom clearance for all importations (including Raw materials as well as finished products).
  • Register supply points in MOH and the Ministry of Commerce.
  • Manage the IFMA (Infant Formula and Baby Food Association) to improve the lobbying capability.
  • Be MOH representative for quality issues of imported finished products and manage its consequences.
  • Act as the single point of contact for compliance and point of contact for other Danone business Essentials across the company's locations except for the factory.
  • Manage all emerging topics in line with Danone business essentials requirements and Standards; Improve the knowledge of relevant employees through designing and running relevant training programs.
  • Ensure management awareness of business risks related to the HO Code as well as local codes and regulations. Advise appropriate actions to manage non-compliant action/practice.
  • Lead/contribute crisis management (actions and training + perform a simulation) in the company.
  • Regulatory clearance for the use/compliance of the products, Prepares company positions for external bodies in complex cases and is consulted as an expert in new fields.
  • Communicate complex and sensitive technical issues clearly and credibly to widely varied audiences.
  • Act as communication coach and spokesperson to relay messages from the company to external audiences, and coach other managers and teams to do the same.
  • Provide robust & deliverable communication advice to management, prepare messages, visuals, and Q&A support for complex external communication events/situations.
  • Propose new legislative/regulatory strategies and their relevant external communication approaches to achieve broad business objectives.
  • Review external communication strategies to bring consistency to the messages across the company's business priorities.
  • Develop and deploy a winning external communication strategy supported by action plans with measurable outcomes that foster company reputation.
  • Use communication channels and tools according to the stakes and context to reinforce the image of the company's reputation and brands.
