About the department:

You will join the Production Department at Novo Nordisk Iran, based in Local Manufacturing Tehran (LMT). The role will report directly to the Site Vice President.

The position:

As a senior production manager at Novo Nordisk, you will be in charge of the overall performance of the department and part of the site management team.

  • Supervise the department's leadership team, ensuring alignment with the site leadership team, and direct the area according to the strategic initiatives for the area.
  • Drive recruitment, training, and development of leadership team and production teams to ensure full staffing and preparedness for production escalation.
  • Execute production plans, oversee the department's operational budget, and monitor key performance indicators, including quality, EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) compliance, and audits.
  • Assess and analyze production performance, instigate enhancements, and actively employ cLEAN tools to boost efficiency and reduce unit costs.
  • Implement and uphold the Novo Nordisk Way within the production area, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferably accompanied by an MBA degree.
  • At least 5 years of experience in leadership roles, preferably within a leadership team.
  • 3 years of experience in roles in which compliance and quality are practiced (pharma, food, or cosmetics), overseeing a team of 15 or more.
  • Demonstrated proactive and impactful leadership style, exhibiting a strong ability to inspire and manage change, encourage collaboration across boundaries, and serve as a role model within and beyond the department.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to establish cross-organizational collaboration and engage in proactive stakeholder management at all levels.
  • Self-motivated, independent, results-driven, and adaptable, with an open mindset suited to a global and dynamic organization.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, preferably also Farsi, enabling effective communication in a bilingual professional environment.
