POSITION SNAPSHOT:

POSITION SUMMARY:

To provide consistently constrained MPS plans, which are optimized, feasible, and realistic, while ensuring the required service level and inventory objectives are met.

A DAY IN THE LIFE …

  • Create a feasible production plan that takes into consideration:
  1. Available Capacity;
  2. Available Labor;
  3. Available Materials;

So that it best balances expected stock covers and availabilities of finished and semi-finished goods.

Supply Planning:

  • Analyze and evaluate the supply plan and net despatch requirements to satisfy customer needs, taking into account the network complexity and the supply constraints.

Inventory Management:

  • Balance the need for product availability versus the need to minimise.
  • Ensure optimum stocks of the right material in the right location.

Exceptions Management:

  • Analyze exceptions, to take business decisions (based on priorities or after arbitration), and to adjust planning results accordingly.
  • Establish production requirements for short and long-term and follow up on production plans.
  • Establish stock policies for finished goods.
  • Determine key issues with volume variance that may impact supply, and highlight to the demand planner and export supply planner by challenging existing demand and supply planning processes and tools.
  • Implement improvements to deliver tangible benefits (e.g., time savings, increased efficiencies, etc.) - monitoring requirements evolution.
  • Challenge manufacturing regularly to manage lot sizes, cycle times, and raw and pack material inventory levels, to drive the optimum finished goods inventory level.
  • Challenge and support the demand planner (domestic and intermarket supply) to improve demand planning accuracy.
  • Identify possible problems, opportunities, and improvements in collaboration with the factory within the 18-month horizon.
  • Contribute to cross-functional planning activities such as WPR (weekly planning review)/MPR (monthly planning review) according to best practices, as well as ensuring alignment with regional DSP teams through regional WPRs and MPRs.
  • Be an active player in local event management to bring visibility & alignment between the factory & HO.

Requirements:

  • Two or more years of relevant operational experience at the planning/ business level is useful, in at least one of the following areas:
  1. Factory Planning;
  2. Supply Network Planner;
  3. Purchasing;
  4. Supply Chain Development;
  5. Factory Production Team Leader;
  6. Demand Planning;
  • Experience in the following processes would be highly beneficial:
  1. Product Life Cycle Process;
  2. Factory Master Data Management;
  3. Strategic Planning;
  • Desirable to have had exposure to LEAN concepts and tools.
