Job Description

The SMD Production Manager is responsible for leading and controlling all aspects of Secondary Manufacturing Division operations to ensure safe, efficient, stable, and cost-effective production.
The role requires strong leadership over a large and diverse team, deep familiarity with high-speed manufacturing environments, and the ability to drive operational excellence through IWS, TPM, or similar structured improvement systems.
This position is accountable for achieving production plans on time, maintaining quality standards, reducing waste and variable costs, and ensuring a proactive, systematic approach to performance management, risk prevention, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
The SMD Production Manager shall be responsible for the following:
1. Production Leadership and Control
• Lead all SMD & KDF production activities to ensure execution of the production plan.
• Ensure on-time, in-full production delivery in line with business requirements.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production performance against targets.
• Coordinate with supporting functions to resolve production constraints and maintain operational continuity.
2. Team Leadership and Development
• Lead, coach, develop, and evaluate a large cross-functional team including line leaders, process leaders, maintenance leaders, electricians, technicians, and operators.
• Manage and coordinate teams of 200+ personnel in a disciplined, structured, and performance-driven environment.
• Build accountability, ownership, and follow-up culture across all levels of the team.
• Ensure effective delegation, performance review, and succession development within the department.
3. KPI, Cost, and Waste Management
• Drive achievement of key performance indicators including output, efficiency, OEE, quality, and variable cost.
• Identify and eliminate losses, scrap, rework, downtime, and other forms of waste.
• Implement cost-reduction actions without compromising quality, safety, or delivery performance.
• Use production data and trend analysis to support decision-making and improvement initiatives.
4. Proactive Risk Management and Problem Solving
• Apply a proactive and preventive approach to production management.
• Conduct risk assessment, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action implementation.
• Anticipate operational risks and take action before issues impact production.
• Ensure structured follow-up on actions, breakdowns, and open issues until full closure.
5. Systems and Continuous Improvement
• Lead production using IWS, TPM, or equivalent structured systems.
• Promote systematic problem solving, standardization, and continuous improvement.
• Support and lead improvement projects focused on efficiency, stability, and reliability.
• Work closely with maintenance and technical teams to improve equipment performance and line stability.
6. Safety, Quality, and Compliance
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and audits as required.
• Promote a culture of safe behavior and operational discipline.
• Ensure product quality is maintained in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
7. Communication and Reporting
• Prepare and deliver clear operational reports and performance presentations to senior management.
• Communicate production status, risks, achievements, and improvement actions effectively.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills in both Persian and English.
• Present data, issues, and action plans in a structured and professional manner.
8. Planning and Coordination
• Support production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet business demands.
• Ensure proper coordination of manpower, materials, machine availability, and priorities.
• Follow up on production readiness, shortages, bottlenecks, and deviations from plan.
• Maintain a systematic approach to control, execution, and delivery.
