Role Overview:
We are seeking a driven and strategic District Sales Manager (DSM) to lead and manage a team of medical representatives within an assigned territory. The DSM will play a crucial role in driving regional sales performance, ensuring effective execution of promotional strategies, and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders in the healthcare sector. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership, in-depth market knowledge, and a passion for achieving sales excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and motivate a team of medical representatives to achieve and exceed sales targets within the assigned district.
Develop and implement district-level sales strategies in alignment with company goals and marketing plans.
Monitor team performance through regular field visits, performance reviews, and KPIs, providing constructive feedback and training as needed.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key healthcare professionals, institutions, and decision-makers.
Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, medical affairs, supply chain) to ensure smooth execution of campaigns, product launches, and customer engagement initiatives.
Organize and oversee regional events, scientific meetings, and continuous medical education (CME) programs.
Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and industry regulations in all field activities.
Provide timely and accurate reports to senior management regarding market developments, team performance, and strategic recommendations.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Life Sciences, or a related field.
At least 3 to 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, with at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
Strong leadership, coaching, and team management abilities.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical market, therapeutic areas, and customer engagement strategies.
Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and CRM tools.
Fluent in English and the local language, both written and spoken.
Willingness to travel regularly within the district.
